Scope

The City is looking to purchase street lighting materials including fixtures/luminaires, drivers, standards/poles, and bollards to be used at various projects and locations throughout Aurora. This contract will be for the purchase and delivery of materials only and will not include installation. The final quantity of materials purchased may vary depending on unit pricing provided and may be purchased incrementally. The City reserves the right to award or exclude from the award, any quantity or individual line item for which costs are requested. The City also reserves the right to award any of the individual line items to separate bidders based on the lowest price provided for each individual item. The City is willing to consider alternative materials (such as other brands) which are generally equivalent to those being requested, but cut sheets/product specifications for any alternative must be submitted for preapproval prior to bidding. This does not apply to the four variations of GE Cobra Head fixtures requested, as these must be the exact product requested to maintain aesthetic and maintenance consistency throughout the city. The Contract shall commence on the Effective Date and shall remain in effect for an initial term of one (1) year (Jan 1 - Dec 31) . The City of Aurora reserves the right to renew the Contract under the same terms and conditions as the original Contract. The Contract shall not renew automatically, nor shall renewal occur solely at the option of the Proposer. The option to renew for two one-year periods (2028 and 2029) will be based on mutual agreement between the bidder and the City of Aurora.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
