Scope
The City of Hollywood Department of Public Utilities is seeking qualified contractors for the Stormwater Pump Station No. 2 (SW-2) Bypass Pumping & Rehabilitation project (Project No. 25-11070) located along South 8th Avenue and North Southlake Drive . The primary objective of this project is to execute comprehensive structural rehabilitation, pump well modifications, and site infrastructure upgrades to modernize and restore full operational performance to the SW-2 stormwater pumping facility . To maintain essential uninterrupted stormwater service during construction, Phase 1 requires the contractor to establish and operate a fully automated, 20,000 GPM bypass pumping system utilizing MWI hydraulic pumps, temporary discharge piping over the seawall, concrete equipment pads, and security fencing . Once the bypass system is proven operational for one week, Phase 2 structural rehabilitation will commence . Scope for this phase includes demolition of existing pump well top slabs and apparatus, pouring a new reinforced concrete top slab, executing localized CMU wall and concrete spall/crack structural repairs, and installing new pumping equipment and control drive units . The final phase involves full site restoration, including removing all temporary bypass piping and equipment, restoring affected asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalks, and sodded areas, and ensuring all drainage structures and outfalls meet municipal standards . Qualified vendors with strong expertise in municipal utility infrastructure, temporary flow bypass management, and heavy structural concrete restoration are invited to submit bids .

How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
