Scope
The Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois (the System or TRS) is requesting quotations for Project Title . The objective of this Request for Quotation is to solicit competitive pricing and terms from qualified suppliers which may result in a contract to provide Project Title to the Teachers’ Retirement System. A proposer’s preparation and submittal of a quotation or subsequent participation in presentations or contract negotiations creates no obligation on the System to award a contract or to pay any associated costs. All proposals and related materials will be retained by the System and will be subject to disclosure as required in accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. The resulting contract, if any, is anticipated to have a term of one (1) year and is intended to serve as an interim solution until the System completes a competitive procurement process for long-term janitorial services. The System anticipates issuing a formal solicitation for such long-term services during the term of the resulting contract. Any qualified vendor, including the contractor awarded under this Request for Quotation (RFQ), will be eligible to participate in that future solicitation.

How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
