Ontario International Airport - Emergency Management Ontario, CA
- Status Closes in 28 days
- Amount Amount not listed
- Set-aside None (open competition)
Scope
The Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified vendors and available solutions for an Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) system at Ontario International Airport (ONT) in support of the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) California Earthquake Early Warning Airport Grant Program. OIAA seeks information from vendors with expertise in EEW technologies, systems, equipment, applications, integration, and related services that utilize the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) ShakeAlert signal. OIAA is interested in solutions that can enhance warning capabilities for airport passengers and employees and support automated protective actions before earthquake shaking begins. Potential solutions may include public and employee notification through PA and intercom systems, alarms, speakers, ADA-accessible message boards, two-way radios, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), visible and audible alerts, and other situational awareness technologies. OIAA is also interested in solutions capable of initiating automated protective actions involving airport facilities, equipment, utilities, access points, elevators, escalators, gates, electrical systems, and other critical infrastructure. Respondents should provide information regarding their proposed solution's capabilities, scalability, accessibility, prior successful applications, implementation and installation requirements, anticipated timelines, system integration, training, monitoring and testing, operations and maintenance, and estimated initial and ongoing costs. Respondents are encouraged to identify innovative technologies, capabilities, and industry best practices that OIAA should consider when developing its requirements.

How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
