The New York City Public Schools ('NYCPS'), on behalf of the Public Schools Athletic League ('PSAL'), is establishing a requirements contract for a comprehensive student accident insurance program. To fulfill the ongoing needs of the league, PSAL is seeking proposals from qualified insurance carriers, agencies, brokers, or authorized third-party administrators ('Proposers'). The selected provider will deliver accident, medical, and dental insurance coverage, alongside related claims administration services, for eligible participants in PSAL-sponsored interscholastic athletic activities. Notes: The requested insurance program is strictly limited to eligible student athletes and authorized participants in approved, PSAL-sponsored interscholastic athletic activities. The contract resulting from this Request for Proposals is a requirements-based contract with a fixed term of three (3) years, offering a unilateral extension option to the NYC Public Schools for up to two (2) additional one-year periods. PROPOSALS MUST BE RECEIVED BY NO LATER THAN 4:00 P.M. EST, Wednesday, December 9, 2026. LATE PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This RFP may result in multiple Requirements contract agreements. The awarded contract will be for a term of three (3) years with two, two'year options to extend. It is anticipated that services will commence on or about November 2027. How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
