What this contract is for
The 356th ETSG Contracting Office is posting this pre-solicitation in perparation for soliciting for two (2) design-build projects at Misawa Air Base in Aomori prefecture, Japan. The base requirements for the construction projects can be found in the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW) for each project. While the formal solicitation will be a consolidation of the two projects, two distinct awards will be made. Offerors will be encouraged to propose for either site 1 or 2 or for both, if able. Two separate awards will be made either way. An organized pre-solicitation site visit is scheduled for 3 August 2026 at 0900 hours, Japan Standard Time (JST). The meeting place will be at the Misawa Air Base Visitor Control Center, 1 Chome 1-23, Okamisawa, Misawa, Aomori 033-0021. Any potential offeror who will participate the site visit must send an attendees list to SSgt CAMERON SMITH at [email protected] and SSgt DANIEL CALLAHAN at [email protected] via email by 30 July 26, 0900 hours JST. The following information will be needed- documents with names, copies of driver’s licenses, and vehicle(s) make, model, color and license plate. The Rough Order of Magnitude for each project being solicited for is as follows: Site 1 (C-1): $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 Site 2 (A-1): $3,000,000 to $7,000,000 A formal solicitation with updated SOWs will be posted on 4 August 2026, but another site visit will not be held. Please submit all questions to the POCs listed and a response will be provided within 2 business days, and posted onto SAM when applicable.
