What this contract is for

81mm and 120mm Mobile Mortar Systems REQUIREMENT: The U.S. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Office of the Product Director Crew Served Weapons (PdD CSW) and the Office of the Project Manager Soldier Lethality (PM SL), located at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources capable of providing 81mm and 120mm Mobile Mortar Systems. The purpose of this market survey is to obtain current information from all interested and qualified companies that possess production-ready mobility capsules capable of integration with U.S. fire control systems and either an 81mm or 120mm mortar weapon, or systems that allow for interchangeability between the two mortar calibers. Respondents are expected to provide information on systems capable of supporting an accelerated development, integration, testing, and fielding schedule. Prototype systems suitable for Government evaluation are required no later than Fiscal Year 2028 (FY28). Upon successful satisfaction of all technical requirements, the Army may procure additional large quantities in subsequent years to support broader fielding. A Mobile Mortar System is comprised of following four major subsystems – (1) mobility capsule (an automated emplacement/displacement system with auto-lay), (2) a mortar weapon, (3) fire control, and (4) ammunition racks for mortar cartridges. The mobility capsule must have the ability to be mounted on an Infantry Squad Vehicle-Utility (ISV-U).
