What this contract is for
The Government is seeking a Can-Am Defender HD11 or equivalent utility task vehicle. To establish an acceptable baseline for an "equivalent" submission, the Government will also accept quotes for the Polaris Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar Edition or its equivalent. Salient Characteristics •Sealed Cab with HVAC to protect occupants from exterior elements such as smoke, insects, and harsh weather •Triple Cylinder Engine displacement of at least 999cc’s with at least 95HP •CVT transmission with electronic drive belt protection •Must have Electronic Power Steering •Drivetrain must have turf mode to protect sensitive areas and locking front differential for maximum traction in demanding conditions •Box capacity of 1000 lbs. for carrying fire apparatus •Cargo box at least 38”L x 54” W x 12” D •Ground clearance of at least 14” •At least 29” tires •Full coverage heavy duty HMW plastic skid plate • Towing capacity of 2500 lbs. from 2” receiver •Payload capacity of at least 1,200 lbs. •Ability to seat at least 3 personnel •At least 12” of suspension travel front and rear with arched A-arms for additional clearance. •Fuel capacity of at least 11.9 gallons •At least 4,500-pound winch •Full Windshield with wiper The contractor must accept three (3) used UTVs as trade-ins as a mandatory condition for this award. The vendor will apply the trade-in value as a credit to lower the final purchase price of the new Can-Am UTVs.
