INTRODUCTION The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to procure Fleet Service Representative (FSR) support for the F/A-18E/F Block II Infrared Search and Track (IRST) system. The applicable Product Service Code (PSC) is L016 (Technical Representative - Aircraft Components/Accessories) and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541330 (Engineering Services). This Sources Sought is a market research tool being used to determine potential and eligible business firms capable of providing the supplies/services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. Any contract actions that the Government may intend to procure in the future will be synopsized on the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE) as applicable in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.201(b). REQUIRED CAPABILITIES The goal of this effort is to maintain the mission capability of the IRST Block II System by providing subject matter expertise to U.S. Navy Fleet Squadrons. The offeror must be capable of providing highly skilled personnel experienced in the IRST system,?United States Navy (USN)?and Boeing logistics systems, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM), and the USN Naval Aviation Maintenance Program.
