This Special Notice is to advisr intrested memebers of the Training and REadiness Accelerator II (TREII), as well as other intrested memebers within the U.S technology base, that a Request for Solutions (RFS) has been issued by Advanced Technology International (ATI) to develop a training device of the Drone Killer Cartridge.

The device needs to reasonably replicate the effects of the 5.56mm and 7.62mm ammunition against Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS ) in Force on Force training.

The device must work with the soldier’s issued weapon.

The purpose the the Training and Readiness Accelerator II ( TREXII) is to spur innovative development, demostration, and expedited delivery of prototypes to increase Warfighter readiness via modeling, simulation, education/ training, expermental validation , and miltary readinesss focused projects, A constorium has been estabblished to develop prototypes directly relevant to enhancing th emission effectiveness to develop prototypes personnel and the supporting the platforms, systems, components, or materials proposed to be acquired or developed by the Department of Defense (DoD), or to improvement of platforms, systems, components of materials in use by the Armed Forces.

The Drone Killer Cartridge will engage training UASs in a non-destructive method.

The training device must have a range of at least 125 meters but the range must not exceed 150 meters.

The training device must have an effects circle of 3 meters at 125 meters.

As a soldier can fire either the Drone Killer Cartridge or standard 5.56 ball ammunition, the device must replicate both capabilities.
