Scope The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to perform the five-year obstruction inspection, testing, and maintenance of the facility’s sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association’s) 25 and applicable codes.

Work includes internal pipe assessments, valve inspections, FDC hydrostatic testing, hydrant flow testing, and replacement of sprinkler gauges.

Applicable Standards All work shall comply with NFPA 25 (current edition) and VA policies and directives.

Requirements The contractor shall perform all NFPA 25?required internal inspections, obstruction investigations, fire department connection (FDC) hydrostatic tests, hydrant flow tests, and sprinkler gauge replacements.

The contractor shall coordinate all required system shutdowns with the designated VA Point of Contact (POC), adhere strictly to all VA safety protocols, and ensure that all work is performed by properly qualified technicians.
