Notice of Intent to Award to a Single Source - University of Illinois School of Chemical Sciences K101 and K110 pellets This is a Notice of Intent (NOI), not a request for proposal.

The National Institutes of Health Office of the Director Office of Acquisitions intends to negotiate on an other-than-full-and-open competition basis with the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, School of Chemical Sciences, 505 S.

Mathews, Urbana, IL 61801, USA for a requirement of the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD).

NIDCD needs slow-release of study compounds K101 and K110 in pellets that achieve superior steady-state release for 90-day study periods.

It is critical to the ongoing studies that the exceptionally even release of study compound in the University of Illinois product not be varied by introducing a new supplier.

The quality of the University of Illinois pellets’ compound release rates has been tested and unmatched by similar pellets obtained on the commercial marketplace and provides critical data for these ongoing studies.

To preserve the study data’s integrity, the supplier must remain the same.

While this pre-solicitation does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy this requirement.

The Government understands that the University of Illinois is the inventor and manufacturer of the required product currently being utilized by NIDCD per compatibility requirements.

However, vendors who believe that they can provide the capability required to fully meet the Government's requirement may submit a capabilities statement, including past performance, in writing to the identified point of contact prior to the closing date and time of this notice.

Official solicitation and documents

The full solicitation, any attachments, and the actual submission instructions live on the official listing, not on this page. Oppward summarizes public record data; it does not host or mirror the source documents.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. Check the set-aside listed above and confirm your business actually qualifies for it before you spend time on a proposal. See our guide to set-asides if the category is unfamiliar.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
