What this contract is for

The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center has a requirement and requesting quotations for the following part: Item 1) NSN: 2040-01-F14-3674 ITEM NAME: DOOR, MARINE, WTQA, 26"X54" R. OEM PN: 121S61 R-H MFG: BOLLINGER SHIPYARDS, INC QTY: 6 EA DESCRIPTIVE/SPEC DATA: 54" X 26" CLEAR OPENING DOOR, QAWT, 6-DOG ALUMINUM DOOR WITH ALUMINUM FRAME, TWO HINGE, RIGHT HAND HINGE CONFIGURATION, WITH 10" PORTLIGHT. BUILD IN ACCORDANCE WITH BSI DRAWING 121S61 SHEET 3. DOOR IS USED FOR ENTRANCE TO SHIPS OFFICE FROM THE MAIN DECK. DUE TO PREVIOUS QDR'S ISSUED FOR THESE DOORS QA INSPECTION WILL BE REQUIRED. QA WILL VERIFY 100% DIMENSIONAL INSPECTION AS WELL AS A CHALK TEST. CHALK MARK SHALL BE IN THE CENTER OF THE RUBBER GASKET ALL THE WAY AROUND. EACH ITEM SHALL BE INDIVIDUALLY PACKAGED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-STD-2073-1E METHOD 10, CUSHIONED OR SECURED AS APPROPRIATE TO PREVENT MOVEMENT OR DAMAGE FROM EXTERNAL IMPACT. EACH ITEM SHALL THEN BE PACKED IN AN APPROPRIATELY SIZED ASTM-D6251 TYPE III, CLASS 1 WOOD-CLEATED PANELBOARD SHIPPING BOX OR ASTM-D6880 CLASS 2 HEAVY DUTY SCREWED WOODEN BOX. EACH PACKAGE SHALL BE MARKED IAW MIL-STD-129R EXCEPT BAR CODED IAW ISO/IEC-16388-2007, CODE 39 SYMBOLOGY. FAILURE TO MEET REQUIREMENTS FOR PACKAGING, PACKING, MARKING AND BAR-CODING WILL RESULT IN THE ITEM(S) BEING REJECTED AT THE WAREHOUSE AND RETURNED TO THE VENDOR. *****DO NOT SUBMIT QUOTE IF YOU CANNOT MEET THE PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS WITHIN THIS SOLICITATION.
