SPECIAL NOTICE DESCRIPTION The Department of Veterans Affairs, Cincinnati VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
The items needed is Swine Kennels and the salient and specs will read As follows.
Physical & Functional Characteristics: Qty (5) Must be sufficient for swine Yucatan pigs with a weight capacity of at least 300.
Exterior dimensions must be 24square feet kennels.
Kennels can be mobile or stationary.
However, if the cages are stationary, they must user friendly assembly and disassembly.
Kennel must have 24 square feet of internal usable space.
Must have wheel and lock system if it is a mobile.
Must have water and feeding system.
Material must be suitable for power washing.
Must provide stainless steel pan assembly.
Qty (1) Mobile swine transport cart must be accommodated up to 300lb swine.
Must have wheel and locking mechanism.
Qty (1) Swine lift with swing must accommodate up to 300lb swine.
Can be manual or automatic.
Assembling, Modifications & Scope of Work Requirements: Equipment must be user friendly assembly with no tools required.
No building or room modifications are required.
Warranty: Must include at least a one-year warranty.
Contractor must service or provide replacement in the event of a malfunction no later than 48 hours after initial call.
