This is a Sources Sought Notice for information on capability and availability of potential contractors interested in proposing on a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) to fabricate and deliver contract to manufacture eight (8) new replacement cast steel sluice gates for the Allatoona Dam in Cartersville, Georgia.

The delivery location is Allatoona Dam, Allatoona Dam Road SE, Cartersville, GA 30121.

The anticipated delivery date/timeframe is Summer 2027.

The Statement of Work includes the following: The U.S.

Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District, requires a fabricate and deliver contract to manufacture eight (8) new replacement cast steel sluice gates for the Allatoona Dam in Cartersville, Georgia.

The contractor will be responsible for casting, machining, testing, and delivering new gates that match the existing gate dimensions of five-foot and eight-inches wide by ten-foot and zero inches high (as-builts attached for reference only).

Due to the intricate structural ribbing and variable cross-sectional thicknesses of the original design, the new gates require highly complex casting to ensure proper form, fit, and function within the dams existing embedded infrastructure.

The contractor will then be required to deliver to the Government after acceptance.

Official solicitation and documents

The full solicitation, any attachments, and the actual submission instructions live on the official listing, not on this page. Oppward summarizes public record data; it does not host or mirror the source documents.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
