Title: Intent to Sole Source MONARCH QUEST Robotic Bronchoscopy System Upgrade Department of Veterans Affairs Ralph H.
Johnson VA Medical Center 109 Bee Street Charleston, SC 29401 NAICS: 334510 Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing PSC: 6515 Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies Description The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Ralph H.
Johnson VA Medical Center, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Auris Health, Inc. (Johnson & Johnson MedTech) for the procurement of the MONARCH QUEST Robotic Bronchoscopy System Upgrade for the Government-owned MONARCH Robotic Bronchoscopy System.
The requirement includes the proprietary MONARCH Advanced Imaging Accessory Kit, Field Upgrade Kit, MONARCH QUEST software upgrade, installation, configuration, testing, validation, and all associated labor necessary to upgrade the existing Government-owned system.
The proposed contract action is conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a Single Source, because the Government has determined that only one responsible source is reasonably available to satisfy the agency s requirements.
Auris Health, Inc. has certified that it is the sole manufacturer and sole distributor of the MONARCH QUEST Upgrade (Product Code MON-AIU) and does not utilize third-party distributors.
Because the upgrade is proprietary and must be fully compatible with the existing Government-owned MONARCH robotic bronchoscopy system, no other source is capable of meeting the Government s minimum requirements.
This notice is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ).
It is issued solely to determine whether other responsible sources can provide the required proprietary upgrade.
Interested parties believing they can satisfy this requirement shall su...
Official solicitation and documents
The full solicitation, any attachments, and the actual submission instructions live on the official listing, not on this page. Oppward summarizes public record data; it does not host or mirror the source documents.
Oppward is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SAM.gov or any government agency. This page is a plain-English summary of public record data; the linked source above is the authoritative listing.
How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
