Modern Radar Systems Organic Capability Development Solution The Army Contracting Command – Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA), on behalf of the Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD), is seeking innovative solutions consisting of a comprehensive suite of equipment and infrastructure to perform all aspects of modern radar testing, calibration, repair, and overhaul.
Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) serves as a critical maintenance and modernization facility for multiple advanced radar systems across the armed forces.
To support the requirements for a family of modern radar systems that share a high degree of structural and technical commonality, TYAD must proactively establish a comprehensive, state-of-the-art organic testing, calibration, repair, and overhaul capability.
Establishing this capability within the Organic Industrial Base (OIB) is vital for performing depot-level sustainment, reducing logistical bottlenecks, decreasing reliance on Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and ensuring the long-term readiness, future adaptability, and peak performance of modernized and emerging radar systems.
TYAD requires modernized equipment and infrastructure to support depot-level repair, overhaul, calibration, and testing for advanced radar systems.
Currently, a critical capability gap exists in the specialized infrastructure needed to test high-density Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), execute precise measurements using integrated near-field ranges and specialized anechoic test chambers, and calibrate modern radar arrays on our far-field radar campus.
This requirement is unique because the capability must support four (4) distinct modern radar platforms—the AN/MPQ-64A4, AN/TPY-4, AN/TPQ-53, and Advanced Range Threat Simulator - Variant 3 (ARTS-V3)—which share key technical parameters but require system-...
Official solicitation and documents
The full solicitation, any attachments, and the actual submission instructions live on the official listing, not on this page. Oppward summarizes public record data; it does not host or mirror the source documents.
Oppward is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SAM.gov or any government agency. This page is a plain-English summary of public record data; the linked source above is the authoritative listing.
How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
