What this contract is for
PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT (NOI) TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole-source, firm-fixed-price, commercial product, purchase order to Ash Technologies US, LLC, [CAGE Code 20F25], 1300 L Street, NW, Suite 975, Washington, DC, 20005-4107 for the Omni Vantage 4K Digital Microscope System. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Standardizing on the Ash Omni platform is essential to maintain consistency, repeatability, and quality control across all inspection operations. TExU already operates on an existing Omni system, and additional instruments are required to meet the growing workload demands while preserving uniform workflows, measurement methods, and operator proficiency. [The justification has been attached to this solicitation.] This notice will be distributed solely through the SAM.gov website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the SAM.gov website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516: Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing; and the Product Service Code is 6640: Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
