The Army Contracting Command – Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA), on behalf of Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD), is seeking innovative solutions to automate and modernize its existing paint conveyor line.

The Government requires a comprehensive, fully functioning solution consisting of a suite of hardware, automated parts handling equipment, and open-architecture Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software to perform all aspects of automated paint application, curing, and automated shop operations.

Implementing automation within this operation is vital for modernizing TYAD's capabilities.

Proactively deploying this technology will provide significant benefits, including the reduction of employee exposure to hazardous chemicals, increased quality of final products, increased throughput, decreased operational costs, and increased efficiency, which may account for a reduction in the use and emission of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
