Sources Sought Notice: SPRDL1-26-R-A032 Item Name: Squib, Electric NSN: 1377-01-722-8512 Manufacturer / Part Number: Amerex Corporation (CAGE: 54905) P/N 20640-040 Quantity: 1,240 Option Quantity: 1,240 End Item: Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) Requirements Description: This item is an adjustable active suspension feature that lowers the vehicle’s height.

This mechanical function reduces the vehicle's profile so it can physically fit inside tight transport spaces, such as the cargo hold of a military transport aircraft or naval ships.

The Government does not have drawings for this item that are suitable for competitive procurement.

The TDP is fully defined, but the Government does not have full data rights.

This survey is published in compliance with FAR Part 10, Market Research.

The purpose of this survey is to canvas the industry for any possible other sources.

This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals.

Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary.

The Government assumes no financial responsibilty for any costs incurred in responding or in any subsequent exchange of information.

Contractors interested in becoming a source of supply need to meet the requirements of the Source Approval Program including vehicle level qualification testing, at their own expense.

The TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, Competition Management Office (CMO), is the lead proponent for the Source Approval Program.

Specific information and point of contact for the Source Approval Program is available at https://tacom.army.mil/ and select Ombudsman from the menu.

Official solicitation and documents

The full solicitation, any attachments, and the actual submission instructions live on the official listing, not on this page. Oppward summarizes public record data; it does not host or mirror the source documents.

Oppward is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SAM.gov or any government agency. This page is a plain-English summary of public record data; the linked source above is the authoritative listing.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
