The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Applied Companies, CAGE: 54080 for the procurement, fabrication and delivery of Electronics Cooling Water (ECW-50) subsystems, part number AC556-46, in support of the U.S.
Navy's AN/SPN-50 Shipboard Air Traffic Control (ATC) Radar System.
Applied Companies, as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the ECW-50 system, is the only source that has been qualified to fully satisfy the Navy’s requirements including testing to meet NAVSEA requirements for shipboard installation.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C.
3204(a)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis.
A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
