What this contract is for
The Technology Application Program Office (TAPO) is conducting market research to identify potential vendors capable of providing the requirement. This is a Sources Sought Notice issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does it obligate the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Objective: The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO) seeks to identify potential vendors (including small businesses) to inform its acquisition strategy for a potential future Request for Proposal (RFP) or to determine the appropriate competitive procedures. Information gathered will be used for acquisition planning purposes only. Requirement: The Government seeks to identify potential sources that possess the capability to satisfy agency requirements for an Air Vehicle Computer (AVC) for military rotary wing Air Vehicle System (AVS) and to procure a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) or modified COTS Air Vehicle Computer. This computer will serve as a centralized, safety-critical processing unit within an air vehicle, consolidating functions such as general processing, graphics and video processing, and data distribution into a single Line Replaceable Unit (LRU). The system must be designed with a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) to ensure interoperability, reusability, and future growth.
