What this contract is for
This Sources Sought Notice is being published for the purpose of conducting Market Research to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. This is not a solicitation. The NEIC operates near-real-time detection algorithms on various types of streamed seismic data to improve the timeliness and accuracy of derived earthquake information products. The rapid detection algorithms are a mix of AI-driven algorithms and standard (non-AI driven) algorithms. These operational systems heavily integrate with each other to enhance derived scientific data products, with continuous seismic data acquisition systems, rapid data distribution systems, data analysis systems, data quality tools, and overall system health and monitoring systems. Additionally, with the rapid advancements of AI technologies and approaches, these detection algorithms and along with new approaches developed by seismic researchers need to be improved, modernized, and implemented to perform on continuous seismic data in 24/7 operational environments to address NEIC¿s mission critical requirements of timeliness and accuracy. NEIC Software needs focused on artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) enhancements for real-time, continuous, seismic data streams and detections and algorithmic monitoring include the following software development tasks: 1. Develop and Maintain Real-Time Seismic Data Streaming and Detection Systems 2. Modernize and Optimize Detection Algorithms 3. Integrate and Advance AI/ML Capabilities 4. Build and Integrate Monitoring, Archiving, and Distribution Systems 5. Support Scientific Research and Innovation All responses must be submitted NLT 0724/2026 at 2:30pm MST via e-mail to: [email protected]....

How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
