What this contract is for

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the conversion of existing conference rooms to standard workstations. This notice is not a request for proposals. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 423210- Furniture Merchant Wholesalers, and the applicable Small Business Size Standard, as established by the U.S. Small Business Administration, is 500 employees. The magnitude of work is estimated to be between $75,000 and $100,000. The scope of work will include all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for removal of existing conference room walls and installation of workstations. In accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul FAR 12.201-1(c)(2), the Government may solicit quotations directly from suppliers for this acquisition at or below the simplified acquisition threshold. Vendors that respond to this notice and provide a valid point of contact MAY BE issued the solicitation directly via email. It is the vendor’s responsibility to notify the points of contact below of their interest in this requirement. The solicitation (RFQ) will be issued on or about July 30, 2026. Telephonic inquires will not be honored. If adequate competition is not received, the RFQ will be posted to SAM.gov. Interested vendors are encouraged to email the Contracting Officer, Alexa Moates at [email protected] or Contract Specialist, Lakeita Wilson at [email protected]. Ensure the subject of your email contains the words, “Procurement Workstations.”

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. Check the set-aside listed above and confirm your business actually qualifies for it before you spend time on a proposal. See our guide to set-asides if the category is unfamiliar.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
