PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE This notice is not a request for quotes.

The Marine Corps Installations East (MCIEAST) has a requirement for a high-security, multipurpose, high-volume shredder.

Minimum requirements are but are not limited to a 13x9 inch throat width, 100-gallon waste bag capacity, an integrated vacuum system, and noise level rated at or below 85dB(A).

It is the Government’s intention to issue a single firm fixed price contract.

The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339940.

The NAICS Industry Description is Religious Organizations.

The Government will solicit and award this contract in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services.

The Solicitation will be posted on or about fifteen (15) days after this posting and made available on the Contract Opportunities portal located at https://www.sam.gov/ .

If you are an interested party, please inform the procuring agency of your interest in the upcoming solicitation.

It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor the website for solicitation and any associated amendments.

Contractors interested in doing business with the Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://www.sam.gov/ .

Official solicitation and documents

The full solicitation, any attachments, and the actual submission instructions live on the official listing, not on this page. Oppward summarizes public record data; it does not host or mirror the source documents.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
