Special Notice Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to place a firm-fixed priced order with IRadimed Corporation for the procurement of the following items: 0001: MRidium 3860 Plus MRI IV Infusion Pump 0002: DERS Library 0003: MRidium Annual Maintenance Agreement The proposed sole source procurement will be made by an open market pricing agreement with IRadimed Corporation. The IRadimed Corporation provided a sole source letter stating that they are the sole manufacturer and seller of the MRidium MRI Infusion pump system, accessories and parts. The letter states that the MRidium 3860 MRI Infusion pump is the only non-magnetic MRI compatible infusion pump on the market. This notice is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No contract will be awarded based on offers received in response to this notice; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Proposals or offers received will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the government. If no affirmative written response is received within 7 days from the publication of this notice, a contract or order will be issued to IRadimed Corporation without any further notice. The anticipated statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for the requirement is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by RFO 6.103-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
