**** U.S. Forest Service intends to award a single source contract to Knife River, Inc. 14005 McKenzie Highway, Sisters OR 97759 in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for the purchase of 8,250 Tons of Commercial Grade (Reject) Aggregate. The primary reason for awarding this procurement to the selected vendor is the vendor’s demonstrated geographic coverage and capacity to supply aggregate materials from active pit locations operating within or adjacent to Clackamas, Linn, Benton, and Deschutes Counties in Central Oregon. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency for the purpose of determining whether to hold a competition or proceed with a single source action. **** (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2025-06. (iv) This procurement is full and open. The NAICS code is 212321 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Project Description: Supply Commercial Grade Aggregate - (Reject), Furnish at Pit.
