What this contract is for
This synopsis notice is prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12 – Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services in conjunction with FAR part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the synopsis only. NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) intends to request quotes via a separate written solicitation to be issued at a later date. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price Purchase Order. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 621910 and revenue of $22.5 million, respectively. Prospective offerors shall explicitly declare their business size status in accordance with FAR Subpart 19.3 with all submissions. NASA JSC has a requirement for Emergency Medical Support and Evacuation (MedEvac) Services. These services include, but are not limited to, comprehensive air and surface medical transport services appropriate for the condition of a sick or injured traveler; providing medical personnel, medical escorts, equipment and transportation that are fully certified and licensed, in accordance with local laws and regulations where operations are performed, to ensure the sick or injured traveler is provided the proper services to be stabilized prior to and during air and surface medical transport. MedEvac transport is to NASA’s hospital of choice, which may be in the United States (US) or elsewhere.
