NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SOLE SOURCE AWARD The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Bemidji Area intends to award a Firm Fixed Priced Contract on a sole source basis to Siemens Healthcare for the Red Lake Hospital in Red Lake MN. The sole source action will be issued under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a) - only one source reasonably available. Siemens Rapidpoint 500e Analyzer (Serial number 68459, Functional location code 1010069) is already in use at the Red Lake Hospital and a new service and maintenance agreement plus reagents is needed. This service is proprietary to the manufacturer and it’s specific equipment. All supplies are analyzer specific and cannot be interchanged with another vendor. All service on the analyzer must be completed by a Siemens representative.
