What this contract is for

The Contractor shall deliver GIS digital map files from Guatemala, software, training and system support necessary to update the managing tools and to develop a new geocoder to convert addresses into coordinates to plot locations into maps to the U.S. Embassy Guatemala - INL. This requirement will result in the award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract in accordance with the specifications of this statement of work (SOW). No additional sums will be payable due to any escalation in the cost of materials, equipment, or labor, or because of the Contractor’s failure to properly estimate or accurately predict the prices or difficulty of achieving the results required by this contract. Nor will the contract price be adjusted on account of fluctuations in the currency exchange rates. The firm-fixed price shall include the electronic GIS files, pre-delivery inspection, certificates of origin, operator’s manuals, warranty certificates and any other documentation mandated by the destination country. All manuals shall be furnished in Spanish. All open-source software products must be updated to the latest stable version, and geographic information databases will be evaluated based on the quantity, quality, and updating status of the information contained. Technical specification sheets including content and date of last update for GIS layers are required to be submitted prior to proposal approval and acceptance.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. Check the set-aside listed above and confirm your business actually qualifies for it before you spend time on a proposal. See our guide to set-asides if the category is unfamiliar.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
