The purpose of this notice is to inform interested parties that Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Office of the Chief Component Procurement Officer intends to issue on a sole source basis an award for the procurement of L3Harris Technologies, Inc.’s Radio Assemblies including accessory equipment to provide a communications function refresh/upgrade to existing communications systems.
The requested radios will provide essential communications during emergency situations.
It is anticipated that the contracttype will be Firm Fixed-Price.
The L3Harris AN/PRC-160(V) Radio Assembly is the market’s only standalone solution for Beyond-Line-Of-Sight communications in the absence of satellite.
In addition, this wideband system is also the only High Frequency manpack meeting all National Security Agency crypto-modernization standards.
The AN/PRC-160(V) is the only 4G Automatic Link Establishment system that combines the level of security, data performance, and combined High Frequency (HF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) capability in a small light-weight portabledesign where space, mobility and protection of system function is a priority.
These unique features are required in order to fulfill communicationsrequirements Similarly, the L3Harris AN/PRC-160V) is the only product available that covers a required frequency range that covers VHF,HF, and satellite communication as well as support for Mobile User ObjectiveSystem (MUOS) and Adaptive Networking Wideband Waveform (ANW2).
