What this contract is for

The Bureau of ATF intends to negotiate a sole source award with NORTH STAR IMAGING INC of Rogers, MN for Preventive maintenance and software maintenance for the Fire Research Laboratory’s computed tomography (CT) system. North Star Imaging Inc. (NSI) is the designer, engineer, manufacturer, integrator, installer, and performer of site acceptance tests for all NSI X-Series X3000 systems. The image acquisition and reconstruction software, including efX-DR, View, and efX-CT have also been developed by, and are proprietary to NSI exclusively. In addition, within the United States, NSI is the sole distributor of NSI equipment and is the only company approved by NSI to install, service, and maintain the equipment and software. This sole source notice is issued IAW RFO 6.103-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS.
