What this contract is for

The 16th Air Force is offering a CSO authorized by 10 USC 3458 and DFARS 212.70 Defense Commercial Solutions Opening. Under a CSO, the USAF may competitively award contracts to proposals received in response to a general solicitation, similar to a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), to acquire innovative commercial items, technologies, and services, based on a review of proposals by scientific, technological, or other subject-matter expert peers within the USAF. Under this CSO, all items, technologies, and services shall be treated as commercial items. The USAF intends to obtain "innovative" solutions or potential new capabilities that fulfill requirements, close capability gaps, or provide potential technology advancements. Solutions may include existing technologies or procedures, not currently in use by the USAF, that would enhance or streamline USAF mission capabilities. "Innovative" is defined as any technology, process or method that is new as of the date of submission of a proposal. It also includes any new application of an existing technology, process, or method. Call 0001 (Topic 0007, MRT-C Automation) is now closed for submissions. Call 0002 (Topic 0006, CTIOS) is now closed for submissions. Call 0003 (Topic 0007, Modernization of Joint Command Language Program Manager Database) is now closed for submissions Call 0004 (Topic 0007, WAPS Scheduling Tool) is now closed for submissions. Call 0005 (Topics 0007 & 0016 OSCARS) is now closed for submissions. Call 0006 (Topics 001 & 006 - FMS Threat Data Support) is open for submissions until March 30, 2026. *After review of the initial submissions to Call 0006 - FMS Threat Data Support, the Government has determined that we did not sufficiently define the need for industry to respond appropriately. The Call has been rev...

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
