What this contract is for
The U.S. Government is contemplating awarding a firm fixed price with economic price adjustment indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Amman, Jordan will publish the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available. The U.S. Embassy Amman, Jordan, requires qualified contractors to provide the supply and delivery of High-Grade Gasoline Octane 95 to the Embassy compound, ensuring continuous, safe, and reliable fuel support for Embassy operations. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial proposal without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation, once the solicitation is available, qualified interested offerors can ask questions about the solicitation until one day before the date of the pre-proposal conference. Notwithstanding FAR 4.203-1(b)(5)(ii), I have determined that it is in the best interest to the Government that offerors be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) database found at https://www.sam.gov prior to submittal of their proposal. Failure to have an active account in SAM at time of proposal submission shall deem the offeror’s proposal to be considered non-responsive to the solicitation instructions and requirements and no further consideration shall be given.
