What this contract is for
5-Year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) NAVSUP WSS is anticipating the award of follow on 5-Year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the Repair coverage of the Navy and FMS items for the P8 Aircraft and T700 turbo engines system items. See attached Exhibit A for list of items. Orders issued under the Basic Ordering Agreement and pursuant to this synopsis will be issued pursuant to 10 USC 3204(A) (1). The items contemplated for Repair requires Government source approval prior to contract award, as the item is flight critical and/or the technical data available has not been determined adequate to support acquisition via full and open competition. The only qualified source for these repairs is BAE Systems Controls INC., Cage Code 63760. The subject items require Government source approval prior to contract award, as the item is flight critical and/or the technical data available has not been determined adequate to support acquisition via full and open competition. Only the source(s) previously approved by the Government for this item have been solicited. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
