What this contract is for

Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Mexico City will launch the solicitation on SAM.gov website when it is available. The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City has a requirement for a new compact or midsize SUV, AWD or 4WD automatic 8 speeds with service, maintenance and warranty valid in Mexico City, Mexico. The selected offeror will be fully responsible for providing the full technical specifications for the vehicle as described in the Request For Quotation (RFQ) document, that will be published on SAM.gov; including obtaining any local government permits and licenses if needed (including import), taking into consideration quality standards that will be mentioned in the RFQ document. Offerors will be responsible for presenting an offer that considers elements listed below, and, if a discrepancy is identified, the offeror will be responsible to flag it on in the quotation. The offeror shall provide complete information of the item being quoted in conformance with the requirements stated in the RFQ, such as descriptive literature, manuals, maintenance procedures, technical datasheets, as applicable. Items shall comply with the minimum quality standards of the industry and any other quality and warranty standards that will be stated in the RFQ document. All offerors that respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work. At a minimum, each offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their quotation: Be able to understand written and spoken English and Spanish.
