Questions and Answers: Desiccant Dryer / Medical Air Load Calculation: The scope states that the desiccant air dryer shall be sized for the calculated system demand. Can the Government provide the existing or required medical air load calculation? Also, please confirm the required dryer dew point, or whether the system should be sized to the standard NFPA 99 medical air dew point requirement. No, you will have to do the calculations. See Plumbing PG-18-10 paragraph 8.2.3.2(k). Seismic Certification The solicitation specifically identifies OSHPD Seismic Certification for the medical vacuum pump system. Please confirm whether OSHPD Seismic Certification is also required for the medical air compressor system. No, it is not. Site Access / Rigging / Equipment Placement Can the Government provide any available photos, drawings, or layout information for the mechanical room and the equipment delivery path? Specifically, we are requesting door widths, corridor widths, elevator information if applicable, and any known rigging or access limitations. Please also confirm whether the new equipment is expected to be installed in the same footprint/location as the existing equipment. As available, however we request that you complete a site survey.
