What this contract is for

The National Park Service (NPS) has extended the submission deadline to August 10, 2026, at 2 p.m. ET. All responses must be received by the NPS by this date and time. The NPS has changed p. 11 of the pdf document, Exibit I - Caneel Bay Structural Assessment (6/6), by replacing "Park Retained Structures" to "Additional Structures". _________________________________________________________________________ The National Park Service (NPS) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a lease (term of up to 60 years) to operate and redevelop overnight accommodations and other services on approximately 150 acres at Caneel Bay within Virgin Islands National Park. The RFP describes the requirements. All responses must be received by the NPS by the date and time specified in the RFP, which is August 10, 2026, by 2:00 p.m. ET, in order to be evaluated for this lease opportunity. Responses will only be accepted electronically via the process explained in the RFP. Questions are due June 11, 2026, and Notification to Submit must be received by June 17, 2026, via email to the National Park Service at [email protected] as specified in the RFP. The NPS will hold site visits on June 4 and 5, 2026. Additional dates may be added if necessary. More details on the site visit and how to RSVP are provided in the RFP. How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. Check the set-aside listed above and confirm your business actually qualifies for it before you spend time on a proposal. See our guide to set-asides if the category is unfamiliar.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
