The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified U.S Domestic businesses, which could include Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran owned, Women owned Small Business firms and even large businesses. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the Government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. The NOAA National Ocean Service (NOS), Office of Coast Survey (OCS) Center of Excellence for Operational Ocean and Great Lakes Mapping (COE) requires a highly portable, space-saving underway profiling suite for use on small survey craft and vessels of opportunity. BACKGROUND: The Center of Excellence (COE) requires a fully integrated, turnkey, highly portable, and rapidly deployable underway profiling system to directly support the education and training of the hydrographic workforce. This turnkey system must provide a complete, out-of-the-box solution that allows personnel to rapidly mobilize and configure a Moving Vessel Profiler (MVP) for continuous water column data collection. This hands-on capability is critical for developing operational proficiency and maintaining instructional readiness in modern hydrographic survey techniques.
