What this contract is for

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office of Acquisitions and Grants Services (OAGS), is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) for market research purposes only. This notice is not a solicitation, Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Request for Proposal (RFP), and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. The FDA is seeking information from interested and capable vendors regarding the establishment of a multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide Above Standard Equipment (ASE) maintenance and related services for laboratory, scientific, and research equipment located primarily at the FDA White Oak Campus and other FDA facilities as identified in future task orders. The attached RFI provides a description of the anticipated requirement, requested vendor information, and submission instructions. Interested parties are encouraged to review the attachment in its entirety and submit responses in accordance with the instructions provided. Responses will be used solely for acquisition planning and market research. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
