What this contract is for
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO4), hereby gives notice of the Government’s intent to establish a firm-fixed 5 year IDIQ with Funeral Care by Andy Danielle Belusko for indigent burial services. The requirement includes the following restricture characteristics that limit the pool of capable/available sources: Geographic proximity: The contractor, including any affiliates or subcontractors, must be located within a 25-mile radius of both the VAPHS University Drive and Heinz Campus locations. Response time: The contractor must be able to provide funeral services no later than 96 hours from the time the funeral home is contacted by VAPHS, requiring 24/7 availability. Licensing: The contractor must be licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and hold all applicable funeral director/funeral establishment licenses and permits. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and is for informational purposes only. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
