What this contract is for

This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is not a request for Quote, Request for Proposal, or Invitation for Bid. DLA Troop Support is conducting market research seeking to identify possible manufacturers that can supply items with the same form, fit, and function as the Water Modification Kit NSN 4610-01-699-8815. Interested vendors are requested to review the item nomenclature carefully to identify any potential manufacturing challenges and formulate any questions. The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to gather information that will identify sources for the possibility of a solicitation for the referenced item under a single Definite Quantity Contract. A market survey is attached to this notice. Interested firms should complete the market survey questions and return the survey by email to [email protected] no later than close of business on July 24, 2026. Any questions or inquiries should be directed to the same. This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the purposes of market research only and the government is in no way obligated to purchase any material as a result of this inquiry. The government will NOT pay for any information submitted by respondents in response to this Sources Sought Notice. If a solicitation were to result, it would be synopsized on the Sam.Gov website and it would be the offeror’s responsibility to monitor the website for any such notices.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. Check the set-aside listed above and confirm your business actually qualifies for it before you spend time on a proposal. See our guide to set-asides if the category is unfamiliar.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
