Escambia County Marine Resources Division (MRD) is submitting an application to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) Derelict Vessel Removal Grant Opportunity Announcement. As required in the application, Escambia County must provide individual price quotes for each proposed Derelict Vessel. This Price Quote seeks the total price for floating, removal, transport and tipping fees associated with the vessel’s disposal at the Perdido Landfill of the following vessel: Vessel Name: 32’ Islander Length:32’ * Prospective bidders should verify * : Color: White Make: Islander Registration: DO591303 Location: Near Pensacola Pass (Approximately 30deg 20.356N, 87deg 18.902W) FWC Case Number: FWC26ON0056048 *Vessel was broken apart due to TS Bertha. Project is being re-solicited, due to the change in condition of the vessel. Contractors should consider the cost to completely remove all vessel related debris in their bid price. Contractor should fully understand the current condition of the vessel and it’s debris before submitting a bid for complete removal. * Information provided from sources other than MRD, therefore bidders should verify actual vessel dimentions and conditions before submitting price quotes. Official solicitation and documents
The full solicitation, any attachments, and the actual submission instructions live on the official listing, not on this page. Oppward summarizes public record data; it does not host or mirror the source documents.
Oppward is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SAM.gov or any government agency. This page is a plain-English summary of public record data; the linked source above is the authoritative listing.
How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
