EO-14398, MALU FM CONSERV TREATMENT KFH FURNISHING This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format outlined in FAR Subpart 12.6, FAC 2005-87 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The resultant contract will be awarded using negotiated procedures in accordance with FAR 13. This is a total small business set aside in accordance with FAR 19-502-2. The principle NAICS is 712110 and size standard is $34M. The National Park Service, Interior Region 2, South Atlantic Gulf has a requirement to conduct a mix of stabilizing and restorative conservation treatment on 15 historic furnishings as well as provide a treatment report of all work completed on the items, and recommendations for subsequent care. The conservation treatment of the historic furnishings, supplemental treatment report, and recommendations for subsequent care will a. prolong the existence of the original furnishings; b. prepare them for exhibit; and c. provide a permanent record of treatment procedures performed and materials applied so that park staff can use it in the future to assess condition and determine previous decision-making processes. The project includes transporting historic furnishings throughout the lifespan of the conservation treatment. The solicitation number assigned to this requirement is 140P5126Q0042. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Contract to the offeror that provides the best value without discussions in accordance with FAR 13.
