Pursuant to the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) and General Services Acquisition Regulations (GSAR) posting requirements, The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) on behalf of Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) 02 Upstate Medical Centers intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) sole source bridge award to Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, Inc. Contractor: Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. Street Address: 511 Benedict Avenue City, State, Zip: Tarrytown, NY 10591 The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), VISN 02 upstate medical centers require a bridge contract to ensure the continuity of chemistry and immunochemistry FSC Group 66 Cost-Per-Reportable-Result (CPRR) testing that are essential to patient care. The aforementioned contractor is currently performing under contract number 36C24226A0008 with the period of performance concluding on September 30, 2026. The anticipated period of performance for the bridge award is six (6) months, October 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027. This action will also provide one option period for six (6) months. The anticipated bridge award will be made under the authority of General Services Acquisition Regulations (GSAR) Subpart 538.7104-3. This bridge will provide the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) with additional time to competitively award a long-term CPRR Blanket Purchase Award (BPA), have analyzers installed and validated, and phase out the current equipment.
