THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) The Biotechnology Core Facility Branch (BCFB) within the Division of Core Laboratory and Scientific Resources (DCLSR) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to TX BIO LC. 9 Century Ct Trophy Club, TX 76262. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purpose of this procurement is for annual preventative maintenance services on the ABI 3900 synthesizer laboratory equipment. The contractor shall perform preventative maintenance and repairs for the following system: ABI-3900 synthesizer, serial number 10245 SECTION 4 – TASKS TO BE PERFORMED The contractor shall: Perform equipment maintenance services and repairs on the ABI 3900 Synthesizer Provide all labor, travel, and parts with unlimited breakdown calls Perform one scheduled preventative maintenance visit per year which includes a full system diagnostic using software and critical parts exchanged Priority response for all breakdown calls TX BIO LC is the service company for the ABI 3900 DNA synthesizer and has the knowledge and experience to do so. They also have a 24 – 48 hour response time and their service engineers have experience with this DNA synthesizer. -Service engineers have ABI 3900 instrument repair training -Minimum of 12 years of field service experience on the instrument -Use Genuine OEM parts This is the only contractor identified with trained service engineers and a proven track record in maintaining and repairing the ABI 3900 DNA Synthesizer, and therefore, has the capability to respond and meet our service requirements.
