What this contract is for

Notice of Intent:Neuropixel electrodes for NHP 75N98026Q00728 The National Institutes of Health intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to Imac Group, LLC. In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, Imac Group, LLC is the only known responsible source who can provide the Neuropixel probes with Neuropixel PXle acquisition systems, used for central visual pathway research. The existing system has customized software and hardware to integrate it into the laboratory infrastructure. Parts of this system need to be replaced due to normal mechanical degradation.. No other source has been identified who can provide the request.. Imec Group is the only known contractor capable of providing the requirement. Unauthorized third parties are not authorized to replace the Neuropixel probes 1.0 NHP that require usage of specialied Neuropixels electronics (headstages) and PXle acquisition boards from IMEC. Alternative systems are not compatible.. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any available small businesses (e.g., 8(a), service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, veteran-owned small business, and women-owned small business) as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that an award will be issued approximately five (5) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another vendor has the capability to meet this requirement.
