What this contract is for

Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Mexico City will launch the solicitation on SAM.gov when it is available. The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City requires a contractor to provide preventive maintenance service to the AV Intercom System throughout the period of performance. The anticipated performance period is for one base year only. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. Offerors/Quoters shall be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) database at https://www.sam.gov prior to submittal of their offer/proposal as prescribed under FAR 4.203-1. Failure to be registered at the time of proposal submission shall deem the offeror’s proposal to be considered non-responsive to the solicitation requirements and no further consideration will be given. Therefore, Offerors/Quoters are highly encouraged to register immediately if they are interested in submitting a response to this requirement. The guidelines for registration in SAM are also available at: https://sam.gov/content/entity-landing Electronic Submission/Responses: This opportunity allows for electronic responses. Please submit your quotation prior to the response date and time.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
