What this contract is for

NSN 2940-01-486-0989 FILTER ELEMENT,FLUI PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime in Columbus, Ohio intends to solicit for the following National Stock Number (NSN). The purpose of this contract is to provide stock replenishment coverage in support of military depots. Based on market research, these items are commercial, and the Government is using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 for this solicitation. The requirement is a Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC), and the contract period will be for a 3-year base period and 2 one-year options to be exercised at the discretion of the government. The electronic solicitation shall be released on or about July 7, 2026, and may be downloaded from the following URL: https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp/. The solicitation number is SPE7MX26RX058. Hard copies of the solicitation are not available. Increments and delivery schedule will be noted on the RFQ. FOB Origin is required. Inspection/Acceptance requirements will be noted on the RFQ. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote, which shall be considered. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance, and other evaluation factors described in the solicitation. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer.
