THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), on behalf of the F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office (PMA-265), is conducting market research to identify potential sources who have the skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required to successfully support a Life of Type Buy (LoTB) of obsolete electronic components for the Distributed Targeting Processor-Networked (DTP-N). The DTP-N is a mission computer that provides the high-performance computing and video processing required for the advanced mission capabilities of the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft. It achieves this by utilizing a dual-redundant High Speed Data Network (HSDN) and two single High Speed Video Network (HSVN) interfaces—including a dedicated Graphics Output Interface—to facilitate the transfer of video, imagery, graphics, and sensor data between the DTP-N and other avionics systems. This procurement is for the following nine obsolete components which are critical to the production and sustainment of the DTP-N: Broadcom Ethernet Transceiver (Part Number: BCM5482SHA2IFBG) Renesas Electronics PCIe Switch (Part Number: 89H32NT24AG2ZCHLGI) NXP Microprocessor (Part Number: P5020NXE7QMB) Silicon Motion NAND (Part Number: SM631GEA-BA) Intel Processor (Part Number: FH8065802420402 SR2E6) Intel Chipset FCBGA (Part Number: DH82...

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. Check the set-aside listed above and confirm your business actually qualifies for it before you spend time on a proposal. See our guide to set-asides if the category is unfamiliar.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
